Zarina is a Brooklyn native, thrilled to be lending her voice to this call to action and affirmation. Presenting a section from I Am Here, a play about coping with what it means to have an incarcerated loved one, the brutal banality that is the criminal justice system, and what that system exposes in our society and ourselves. Playwright and performer, member of the New George’s JAM, alum of Clubbed Thumb’s Early Career Writing Group, Tofte Lake and Ucross. MFAs in Acting and Playwriting from Brown and Brooklyn College, respectively. BA University of Chicago.
